A police officer and a man are being treated for potentially life-threatening injuries after both were shot in an altercation in Brisbane’s south on Friday morning.
Queensland police were called to reports of a disturbance at a house on Tamar Street, Annerley, about 9.13am, police said.
Both were shot and wounded in a physical altercation, police said.
No charges have been laid.
A spokesperson for the Queensland ambulance service said one of the men had suffered “life-threatening injuries”, with the other being treated for a “potentially life-threatening leg injury”.
Both were taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital by ambulance.
The Queensland police service said in a statement that the incident would now be investigated by the ethical standards command, with oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
